The Lambda Chi Chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity was colonized at Virginia Commonwealth University in the Fall of 2008. The colony grew rapidly over two years. These years consisted of many brotherhood, community service, and philanthropy events. Of these events, the colony consistently put in the most man-hours and raised the most money on campus.
The colonization was marked with many intramural successes, social growth, but most importantly: service to the city of Richmond. On April 17th, 2010, our hard work paid off and we received our national charter. In the summer of 2010, the Founding Fathers earned their first Chapter Excellence Award at the 2010 PIKE convention. After chartering, the Lambda Chi Chapter would quickly grow to be the largest fraternity on campus. In the Fall of 2010, the Alpha class brought in 25 new brothers followed by nineteen more pledge classes. PIKE has continued to be a generous supporter of the greater Richmond area. PIKE strives to improve the community through elective fundraising and public service events. We have once again teamed up with the Evans-Haynes Burn Center for our annual Fireman’s Challenge, and are proud to provide an opportunity to support such an amazing cause!
Last year’s Fireman’s Challenge raised over $23,000 in our very first completely virtual event. Help us BEAT last years success by reaching our goal of raising $40,000 for the Evans-Haynes Burn Center by becoming a sponsor of this philanthropic event.
